A group known as the “Arewa Women and Youths for Osinbajo 2023,” has vowed to mobilise support for Vice President,Yemi Osinbajo to contest the 2023 Presidential election, even though he has not publicly declared his intention to contest.
National Cordinator of the group, Jumai Musa, stated this during the inauguration of the North Central chapter of the group on Tuesday in Jos.
She said Osinbajo as Vice President has demonstrated prowess, dexterity and capacity as a leader.
According to Musa, Osinbajo “has performed excellently in office and there is the need for the youths and women to support him to emerge as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023.”
Also speaking, the North Central Cordinator of the group, Bello Isah, said “Osinbajo is a patriotic Nigerian and if given the opportunity, he will improve on the economy of Nigeria.”
He said, “it is a collective calculation, vision and determination of the Nigerian youths and women who now have common political ideology and shared unique political sagacity to mobilized women and youths from the Northern extraction to support and actualize the Presidential ambition of Osinbajo.”
According to him, the time had come for Nigerian youths and women who constitute the majority of the voting population in the country, “to arise and fashioned out modalities on how to woo support for him to consolidate on the accomplishments of his principal and effect adjustment where necessary”.
