Atiku: Nigerians are anxiously waiting for PDP to return in 2023

Former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said that Nigerians are anxiously waiting for the return of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023.
Speaking in an interview with journalists after meeting with Rivers state governor, Mr.
Nyesom Wike, on Thursday in Portharcourt, Atiku said Nigerians can’t wait for PDP to take back power in 2023.
Atiku who was the party’s presidential candidate in the 2019 elections, the country has degenerated under the present administration.
According to him, under the PDP, the country had the best foreign reserves.
He lamenting the current economic and security situation in the country, Atiku said, Nigeria has never had it this bad.
He explained that his meeting with the Rivers state governor, was to discuss how to ensure unity and stability in the PDP for the party to take over in 2023.
“I came here to reconcile with the governor on party affairs and how we can ensure there is unity and stability of our party so that we will take over government in 2023.
“I believe Nigerians can’t wait for 2023 to come so that PDP will return.
“I have never seen it this bad, I am seventy plus. I have never seen it this bad in terms of security challenges, in terms of unemployment. I have never seen it so bad — this is worst”, Atiku said.
According to him, the PDP recorded the highest growth in the country, the best foreign reserves and reduce unemployment when it was in power.
He said Wike is the top performing governor in the PDP in terms of projects, youth employment and security.
“I think he is topmost governor in the party. There is no doubt about that, in terms of projects, in terms of youth unemployment, in terms of security,” Atiku said.
