The group was reacting to recent statement by Rev. Joseph Hayab saying he had been elected as the Chairman of Northern CAN.
However in a statement signed by Rev. Musa Misal and Emmanuel Abbah, Chairman and Assistant Secretary of Youth CAN  respectively, emphasised  unwavering support for Pam as  the Chairman  of Northern CAN
“We are the duly elected Executives of the Youth Wing of CAN under the leadership of  Rev. Yakubu Pam, and we boldly declare that he is the legitimate, constitutionally recognised leader of the Northern CAN,” the statement said.
The youth body clarified  that no elections have been called for any of the wings of the association, including the Mother body, Women, or Youth Wing.
The group condemned any attempts by individuals, regardless of their status, to impose themselves through “crooked means.”
“We wish to inform everyone that we are fully prepared to conduct our elections should it be called by our respected parents, and we stand ready for this process at any time,” the statement added.
Youth CAN  urged all its members, particularly, from the Zonal and State Chapters, as well as other stakeholders, to disregard any calls from unauthorized individuals claiming to hold authority over the organization’s activities, including meetings and elections.
“We call on all youths to stay united and loyal to the leadership led by our Father, Rev. Yakubu Pam, as he remains the true and legitimate leader of the Northern CAN Youth Wing,” the statement said.
This declaration comes as tensions rise within the association over leadership disputes, but the Youth Wing’s executives remain steadfast in their commitment to the current leadership and constitutionality.
