The multi billion naira Gusau ultra-modern motor park, Zamfara state, being handled by Field-Mark Construction Limited is to be completed in the next six months.
The project coordinator Mr. Okeke Kalu Okeke disclosed this recently while conducting journalists round the project site. Okeke said the project is part of the Urban renewal initiative by Governor Dauda Lawal’s administration in Zamfara state.
He explained that, the project was conceived in 2023 to provide a state-of-the-art motor park for the people of the state .
“The project officially kicked off on November 19, 2024. In less than three weeks, we have cleared the topsoil in preparation for the actual construction work.
“However, there was a slight delay as the park’s location was adjusted, which required redesigning.
“While the redesigning was ongoing, we initiated preliminary construction activities to keep the site active”, Okeke said.
He said the facilities to be constructed in the motor park include an administrative block, mosque, travelers’ terminals, toilets, a police station, shops, hotel, fire service unit, clinic and mechanic workshop to provide essential services to drivers.
Okeke expressed optimism that the project would be completed within six to seven months.
He added that the well-equipped modern motor park will meet the needs of travelers and contribute to the development of the state.
