President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday directed security agencies to search and apprehend “envoys of death” behind the attacks on communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State, which left over 115 people dead.
In a statement on Tuesday by Presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu directed immediate mobilisation of relief materials for victims of the attacks.
The President described the killings as “primitive and heinous”, declaring that “these envoys of death, pain, and sorrow will not escape justice.”
AmazingTimes had reported that over 115 people were killed when bandits invaded 12 communities in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi LGA of the state on Friday till Christmas Day.
The statement said, “President Bola Tinubu strongly condemns the heinous and brutal attacks in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State, which resulted in the tragic loss of many lives.
“President Tinubu directs security agencies to immediately move in, scour every stretch of the zone, and apprehend the culprits.
“The President also directs immediate mobilisation of relief resources for surviving victims of the primitive and cruel attacks as well as a medical treatment for the wounded.”
