A terrorists group, the Islamic State of West African Province (ISWAP), has reportedly executed three Christians in Borno State, according to reports by Stefanos foundation.
The non- government organisation (NGO), posted on its Facebook page that it received information about the incident.
It said, “On June 4, 2024, two images surfaced, allegedly shared by the ISIS terrorist group through its media outlet, Amaq news agency.
“One of the photos showed three men tied and lying down with three gun men behind them, while another showed three bodies falling amidst thick smoke.
Stefanos foundation said reports reports indicated that the three men were abducted on June 3, 2024, while on transit through Yobe state.
Stefanos foundation said, the Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Yobe state, confirmed the incident in an interview with one of the northern based newspapers.
“On behalf of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Yobe State chapter, we condemn in totality the killing of three Christian youth along Damaturu-Biu Road Federal Highway,”.
The NGO while condemning the barbaric act, lamented that such killings were still being perpetrated
boldly and the heart wrenching images were being published.
“While we continue to hope that the government will one day halt this madness, we will continue to mourn with the affected families and pray for God’s comfort in these difficult times”, the NGO said.
