Sani flags off APC campaign for council polls, says PDP is dead in Kaduna

Kaduna state governor, Senator Uba Sani, on Monday declared that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna state is dead.
Speaking at the flagged off the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaigns for the October 19 Local Government polls in the state, the governor said in the past four months, over 200,000 leaders and supporters of the PDP in the state had decamped to the APC.
He expressed optimism that the APC candidates will win the elections.
He noted that the unprecedented crowd that trooped to the Murtala Square, venue of the event was historic.
“I am not surprised by the crowd I am seeing here today. It is unprecedented in the history Kaduna state”, Sani said.
He said, “In the four months, more than 2000 leaders of PDP. That is a major sign that we are doing something right, particularly in Southern Kaduna, Zone one and zone two have decamped to PDP.
“We will continue to welcome them, they have seen development, they have seen transparency, they have seen justice and equity.
“For me, that is the hallmark of our government. When we came in, we made it clear that our number one agenda was to unite the people.
I made it clear that, most importantly, justice and equality are key.
“I am happy that everybody in Kaduna State is living in peace. We have flagged off the construction of 62 roads across the state.
“The PDP is dead in Kaduna state.
I am optimistic that the APC will win elections”.
The governor added that his administration has made significant strides since inception.
