The Speaker of the Plateau state House of Assembly, Hon. Moses Sule, has appointed, Peter Mankum, as his chief Press Secretary. Mankum, a journalist and politician started his journalism practice with the Jos based Nigeria Standard newspapers.
He later moved to the African Independent Television (AIT) where he served as the correspondent of the broadcast station in Gombe state.
Mankun went into partisan politics and was elected councillor, Mikang Local Government Area of Plateau state.
Until his appointment, he was the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Mikang LGA.
He is expected to bring his experience as a print and broadcast journalist to bear in his assignment.
