The senator representing Plateau South Senatorial district Napoleon Bali has promised to work closely with Governor Caleb Mutfwang to address the security challenges facing Plateau state.
The senator stated this while addressing journalists on Tuesday in Abuja.
Bali who noted that that no meaningful development can be achieved without security, called for the deployment of more troops to Plateau state to curb the persistent attacks and killings in communities.
“These criminal elements are not spirits so we can take the fight to the bandits in the forests”, the retired airforce officer said.
He decried the level of poverty in the country , stressing that the executive arm of government alone cannot solve the problem. Bali disclosed that that shortly after his emergence as senator, he introduced a scheme to empower women and youth, adding that over 300 people benefited from the scheme.
“I am into an agreement with a bank at the moment to guarantee loans for petty traders. Our primary responsibility at the national assembly is to make laws that will improve on the livelihood of the people and I believe we’re up to the task” he said.
Bali called on the present administration to come up with policies that will bring about the much needed development in all spheres to improve the living condition of Nigerians.
