Callistus Agwaza in Jalingo
A former speaker of Taraba State House of Assembly, Prof. Joseph Kunini, has urged Governor Ogbu Kefas to avoid the mistakes of the past and carry every section of the state along in his administration.
He also urged the people of the state to support the governor to move Taraba state forward.
In a statement on Saturday in Jalingo, the former speaker congratulated Kefas for emerging victorious in the governorship tussle at the Supreme Court.
Kunini who was a governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost the ticked to Kefas at the primary election.
He said the time for politicking was over, stressing that “it is imperative for all to join hands and work for the ultimate good of the state.”
” I want to heartily congratulate our dear Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, on his well deserved Supreme Court victory”, the statement reads.
” I enjoin the political class and the entire people of the state to give the governor maximum support to enable him tackle the myriads of problems confronting our people especially insecurity.
“It is our prayer for the. Almighty God to grant him good health and imbue him with wisdom to successfully govern the state and bring the dividends of democracy to the people.
“Let me also call on the governor to unreservedly embrace one and all who sincerely want the growth of the state and to avoid the mistakes of the past by listening only to those who want to sing his praise at all cost”.
