The Keffi Old Boys Association (KOBA), the alumni body of Government College, Keffi in Nasarawa State, will hold its annual general meeting this Saturday at the school premises.
According to a statement by the planning committee, the meeting will be chaired by Ambassador Umaru Suleiman Azores, Vice Chairman of association’s Board of Trustees.
Nasarawa State Governor, Mr. Abdullahi Sule, is expected to grace the occasion as the special guest of honour.
Also expected at the event is the Emir of Keffi, Dr. Chindo Yamusa III, who will serve as the Royal Father of the Day.
The President General of KOBA, Chief Edward Ujege (Tor Jechira), will host the gathering.
Highlights of the event include the presentation of the prestigious Cheetah Awards to some distinguished old boys and some prominent Nigerians for their outstanding contributions to society.
Among prominent Nigerians to receive to be awarded are Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia; Plateau State Governor, Mr. Caleb Mutfwang; and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike.
The meeting will also feature the election of a new leadership for the association.
