The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Katung, said he will partner with the federal and Kaduna state governments to address the development challenges facing the area. Katung stated this in an interview with journalists in Zonkwa, headquarters of Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state, during a “thank you tour of the eight Local Government Area in the senatorial district.
He lamented the neglect the Southern Kaduna people had suffered over the years, saying he will work with his the federal and state government to put smiles on the faces of the people of the area.
He assured that he will protect and defend the interest of Southern Kaduna even as he lobbies to attract developmental projects to the area.
Katung said elections were over and urged the people to unite and work together for the progress of the area, stressing that he is a senator for all regardless of political differences.
“I am prepared to work with whoever is the President and the governor of our state to address the development challenges in our senatorial district. I will ensure our people get to smile again.
“Elections are over and now I am a Senator for all irrespective of those that voted for me or not. I will partner with the federal and state governments to bring devidends of democracy to the our senatorial district.
“I shall work with all the national and state assemblies to speak for our people, attract development projects and to secure our communities from criminals.
“I pledged to be protect and defend your interest, even as I lobby for developmental projects for the zone”, Katung said.
He urged the people of the area to continue to be patient and pray for elected leaders to deliver on their mandates.
