The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna state has won Saturday’s re-run election in Igabi federal constituency in Kaduna state.
Announcing the results, Abdullahi Dalhatu, INEC returning officer, said Hussaini Jallo of the PDP, whose election was upturn at the appeal court, emerged winner of the re-run, polling 47,313 to defeat Ibrahim Zayad of the APC who garnered 43,915.
Also, Nurah Abdulkarim candidate of the PDP won the Kudan state constituency re-run, polling 24,179 votes, while Abbas Faisal of the APC scored 22,438.
The results were announced by Aisha Umar Isa, INEC returning office.
In the re-run election in Makera state constituency, Jamilu Ya’u, INEC returning officer, declared Dahiru Liman of the APC who scored 180,068 as winner.
His closest opponent, Katuka Solomon of the PDP, got 17,404 votes.
In the by-election for the Chikun state constituency, Haladu Bayero, INEC returning officer, announced David Tanko, candidate of the APC as winner, having polled 18,566 votes to defeat Maria Dogo of the PDP who scored 10,903 votes.
In Kauru state constituency,the APC also emerged winner with 24,170 votes while the PDP scored 23,591 votes.
The APC won the Kachia/Kagarko federal constituency re-run.
