Kaduna state governor Senator Uba Sani has urged Nadungu Gagare, the newly appointed Federal Permanent Secretary, office of the Head of Service (HoS) to be a good Ambassador of Kaduna state.
Speaking at a reception held in his honour on Saturday at the Murtala Square, Kaduna, Sani called on Gagare to remain focused and committed in the discharge of his responsibilities and duties attached to his new position.
Gagare, who hails from Kachia LGA of Kaduna State, was recently elevated to the position of a Federal Permanent Secretary political and economic affairs in the office of the HoS by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Sani said the appointment was well deserved and a testament of Gagare’s commitment to service while urging him not to let down the confidence reposed in him.
The governor who was represented by Murtala Dabo, the commissioner for Agriculture, also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the honour done to Kaduna state, assuring that Kaduna will support Tinubu for a second term in 2027.
“Your hard work and diligence to work earn you this appointment, but to whom much is given, much is expected, I know you will not let Kaduna State down, we are thankful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and we are proud of your achievement and wish you God’s guidance and protection as you take up this assignment ” Sani said.
Also speaking in an interview with journalists during the event, Chairman of Kachia Local Government Area, Dr. Manzo Maigari, described Gagare as a man of great achievements.
He said the purpose of the gathering was to celebrate him and pray for him.
Maigari said, “We are here to celebrate our brother because he has achieved a great feat to be appointed Federal Permanent Secretary.
Like I said in my welcome speech, we gathered not because we don’t have food in our houses, but we gathered for fellowship, we gathered to encourage him, we gathered to pray for him because we know that with this position, comes much responsibility and we trust that God will guide him.”
Several dignitaries who spoke at the event attested to the Gagare’s intelligence, competence dedication, and hard work.
In his remarks, Gagare said, expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for finding him worthy of the appointment and commended Governor Uba Sani for his support.
“Without God, nothing can be done, I give God all the glory and pray that He sees me through,” Gagare said.
