ASUU stike: Unijos ask students to go home

The University of Jos, has asked students to return home following the four weeks warning strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
A statement signed by the Deputy Registrar of the University, Abdullahi Abdullahi, said the management of the institution took the decision at a meeting on Friday.
The statement said academic activities in the institution had been suspended until further notice.
“In the light of the fact that there would be no lectures or similar activities taking place during the period of the warning strike by ASUU, the management agreed that in the best interest of students to allow them to return home until academic activities resume.
“Students of the university are hereby advised to take note and strictly act accordingly please,” the statement said.
