Benue state governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has dissolved the state’s executive council.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Tersoo Kula, announced this in a statement on Wednesday.
He said the decision was made at the conclusion of the 12th meeting of the executive council on Wednesday.
The statement added that the governor also appointed Moses Atagher, former attorney-general and commissioner for justice in the state, as his new chief of staff (CoS).
The governor expressed gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their two years of service, urging those not reappointed to remain active within the party and continue to contribute to the development of the state.
The statement explained that the dissolution affects only the commissioners, with the chief of staff position being a new appointment.
