Plateau state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, says he is determined to lead Plateau to new heights.
The governor who stated his on his X handle said he will build on the legacy of great leaders of the state.
He expressed gratitude to God for the interdenominational Thanksgiving service on Sunday for his victory at the Supreme Court. “Today, Plateau celebrated an Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service in gratitude for my election victory and the affirmation of the people’s mandate at the Supreme Court.
” I extend my thanks to God Almighty, the one who enthrones and dethrones kings.
“Grateful for the privilege bestowed upon me, I appreciate the Plateau community for voting joyfully and without inducement, aligning with God’s will”, Mutfwang said.
The governor said “Amidst challenges and frustrations, there were moments of doubt, but my faith in God’s work prevailed.
“Thank you all for your prayers; God will remember your labour of love. Though I have nothing to offer on my own, with God, all things are possible.”
He said further that his “victory marks a new beginning, the start of fulfilling promises made to you.”
He said, “With God’s grace, we are determined to lead Plateau to new heights, building upon the legacy of our great leaders.
“We will rise on their shoulders, elevating Plateau to unprecedented levels.
“God will provide the means, and I assure you, the commitment to this endeavour is unwavering.”
The Supreme Court had on January 12, 2024, affirmed his election following a fierce legal battle with Nentawe Yilwatda, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the March 18, 2023 governorship election.
