The Chief of Gurku, Karu Local government Area of Nasarawa state, Alhaji Jibrin Waziri and his wife have been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen.
Details of the incident were scanty at the time of this report, but it was gathered that the criminals invaded the palace of the first class chief on Sunday night and kidnapped him and his wife. Waziri was recently promoted a class chief by the Nasarawa state government. No official statement has been issued on the incident.
