Fish out perpetrators of Plateau killings, Mutfwang tasks security agencies

The Plateau state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has called on security agencies to deal ruthlessly with individuals or groups found to be responsible for the current security challenges bedevilling the state.
The governor also warned that his administration will not tolerate the activities of crisis merchants who are bent on fomenting trouble and causing disaffection among peace loving citizens.
This was contained in a statement on Monday in Jos, by the Director of Press Affairs to the governor, Gyang Bere.
The statement also called on Plateau citizens to be calm, law abiding, tolerant and embraced forgiveness over the recent attacks that led to loss of lives in Mangu and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas of the state.
The statement reiterated the determination of the state government “to build a new and united Plateau, where all shades of opinion from law abiding citizens would be accommodated for the safety and progress of the state.”
Mutfwang, appealed to religious, traditional and community leaders to commence with immediate effect, the process of confidence building among citizens who are affected by the sad events in order to strengthen inter – communal relations.
The governor stressed that, “the time is now for us to put behind issues that divide us as Plateau citizens and work with one accord to preserve our heritage.”
