Sani receives Yero, La’ah, Shehu Sani, others to APC

Governor Uba Sani has received some prominent chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state.
Among the prominent PDP decampees are Muktar Ramalan Yero, a former governor of Kaduna state, Shehu Sani, a former senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, Suleiman Hunkuyi, former senator Kaduna north senatorial zone and governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) in Kaduna during the 2023 elections, Sani Shaaban, a former House of Representatives member and gubernatorial aspirant of the APC in 2023. Others are, Danjuma La’ah a two term senator who represented Kaduna South senatorial zone, Abubakar Mustapha, former National Organising Secretary of PDP and Ambassador Sule Buba, former Nigeria’s envoy to South Korea, among several others.
Ibraheem Musa, Chief Press Secretary to the governor said in a statement on Saturday night that the decampees were received at a ceremony at Murtala Square Kaduna.
Musa said the governor assured the 50 party stalwarts, mostly members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Pary (PDP) that they will be treated equally in the state APC.
“There is not difference between a party member that joins today and the ones that have been in APC ten years ago.
‘’Someone who joins APC today and the one who has been a foundation member 10 years ago, they are of the same status. They will enjoy the same rights and privileges”, the statement qouted the governor.
The governor asked the decampees some of who include a former senator, three state lawmakers and two federal lawmakers bring their supporters APC.
Sani said, the popularity and acceptability of the APC is because of its just leadership at both the state and federal levels.
He added that the party has come to stay in Kaduna State, the entire north and Nigeria as a whole.
The governor said, “In the 2027 election, the electorate will vote for APC in all the elections, from top to bottom.
“At the top, our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will be elected. At the state level, the party will be voted for at the gubernatorial, National and State Assembly elections, by the Grace of God.
Sani promised that projects would be executed in all the nooks and crannies of Kaduna State, irrespective of party affiliations and ethno-religious considerations.
He said, “Politics is different from governance. We will be fair to all, whether or not they voted for us, because that is the oath of office that were swore to uphold as leaders”
