Bandits invade Kaduna community, kill one, abduct seven – NGO solicit funds for treatment of wounded victims

Dare divil bandits on Friday night, invaded Awon village in Kachia LGA, killing one person while seven people were abducted. Some others were said to have sustained injuries from gunshots during the attack. The police could not confirm the incident as Mansir Hassan spokesperson of the command did not respond to telephone calls when contacted.
However Reuben Buhari, director, Resilient Aid & Dialogue Initiative (RADI), confirmed the incident on his Facebook page, saying his organisation has initiated a fund raising for the treatment of the wounded victims in the hospital.
Buhari said some of the victims were taken to a hospital in Kachia, while four others with bullets lodged in their bodies were taken to the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Kaduna.
He added that “all the four injured persons required urgent surgery to remove the bullets, but can’t afford the cost of the surgery as their family members are among those kidnapped by the criminals.”Buhari said a little boy who was shot close to his spine is laying critically at the Nigerian Army Referral hospital, Kaduna.
According to him, the boy requires N100,000 for the bullet to be removed.
He said his organisation has initiated a fund raising to support to facilitate the treatment of those in the hospital.
He called on public spirited individuals to assist the wounded victims by donating to assist with their medical bills.
