Twitter, the social media giant, has said that it is ready to meet with the Nigerian government for open discussions.
The social media platform was ban by the Nigeria government on June 4, after it deleted President Muhammadu Buhari’s tweet for violating its rules.
Lai Mohammed, the information and culture ministry had on Wednesday hinted that Twitter was willing to meet the government.
On Friday, Twitter took to its platform , saying, “Today marks one week since Twitter was blocked in Nigeria. We have informed the Nigerian government that we are ready to meet for an open discussion to address mutual concerns and see the service restored. We remain advocates for the free and #OpenInternet everywhere. #KeepitOn.”
