Seven people have been reportedly killed following attacks on Puka and Pinper communities in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.
It was learnt that the attacks happened in the early hours of Thursday.
The seven persons were said to have been killed in Puka community, while in Pinper community, the bandits were said to have carted away motorbikes, sheeps, and other domestic animals.
According to THISDAY, a community leader, Mr. Zaccheaus Jomo, confirmed the killings.
The newspaper quoted the community leader as saying that, “In Puka community, they killed one lady and six men. But in Pinper, they carted away motorbikes, sheep, and other valuables before they fled into the hills.”
While condemning the attacks, Jomo said the incident had been reported to security operatives for investigation.
THISDAY reports that the Media officer of the military task, Operation Safe Heaven in the state, Capt. James Oya, could not immediately confirm the incident when contacted.
