Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani mourned the death of Ekene Adams, a federal lawmaker representing Kajuru/Chikun federal constituency of the state.
Ekene died on Tuesday in Abuja following an illness.
In a statement on Tuesday in Kaduna, the governor said, he was sad over news of the death of the lawmaker.
He said Adams lived an exemplary life of active service to the people of his constituency and Kaduna state at large.
The statement signed by spokesperson of the governor, Mohammed Shehu, said the deceased politician was a
well respected politician, community leader, sports administrator and philanthropist.
“A dedicated football lover and administrator, Ekene established KADA City FC, a Nigerian football club based in Kaduna, to discover talents and promote football within Kaduna state.
“He was often regarded as one of the youngest football club owners in Nigeria,” the statement said.
“On behalf of the people of Kaduna state, Governor Uba Sani extends his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased and called for prayers to strengthen the family.
