Nentawe Yilwatda, a former Residence Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Benue state won the governorship primaries of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau state.
Also in Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani, representing Kaduna Central Senatorial zone emerged governorship candidate of the ruling party in the state.
Nentawe scored 803 defeat his closest opponent, Garba Pwul (SAN ) who got 70 votes, while the deputy governor, Prof. Sonnie Tyoden and a retired custom officer, Victor Dimka, scored 25 and 3 votes respectively.
In Kaduna Senator Sani polled 1, 149 votes to defeat two other aspirants, Bashir Abubakar and Sani Sha’aban who polled 37 and 10 votes respectively.
