Mutfwang makes first appointments hours after inauguration

Few hours after his inauguration on Monday, the Plateau state governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has made his first appointments.
A statement signed by Moses Nwan, Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) to the governor, announced the appointment of Samuel Jatau, an architect, as Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Also appointed are Philemon Dafi, Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice and Moses Nwan, private secretary to the governor.
The statement added that the appointments are with immediate effect.
“Towards the building of a new united Plateau, the Executive Governor of Plateau state, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has approved the appointment of Arch. Samuel Nanchang Jatau as Secretary to the Government of the State (SGS)” the statement read:
“He is a retired director in the Plateau state civil service. He was a governorship aspirant in 2019. He is presently an active and practicing politician in the PDP family.
“Barr. Philemon Dafi, as Attorney General/Commissioner of Justice designate.
“He is a seasoned legal practitioner with more than thirty (30) years of active legal practice. He is a member of the Council for Legal Education in Nigeria.
“Mr. Moses Nwan, as executive private secretary to the governor.
“He is a retired permanent secretary with the Plateau state government and a former Local Government administrator.
“He is a devoted community leader and presently the Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) to the governor of Plateau state.”
