Lalong condemn fresh killings in Plateau

The Plateau state governor, Mr. Simon Lalong, has condemned the killing of three people in attacks on Yelwan Zangam community and along the Zaria- Jingir road.  The gunmen were said to have attacked local miners in Yelwa Zangam community, Jos North Local Government Area, killing one person while one person was injured.
Similarly two people were killed while one was injured in an attack on commuters’ bus along the Zaria-Jingir road.
Lalong, in a statement on Wednesday by the Director of Press and Public Affairs, Makut Macham, expressed condolences with the families of the victims.
He called on security agencies to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
Lalong however, commended security forces for swiftly responding to the situation and restoring normalcy in the affected areas.
The governor called on citizens of the state to report any suspicious activity within their environments to the security operatives.
The statement directed the Secretary to the Government Government (SSG) to visit those injured and receiving treatment in the hospital to ensure they have good health care.
