KASU promotes three academic staff

Three academic staff of the Kaduna State University (KASU), have been promoted to the ranks of professors and associate professor.
Spokesman of the university, Adamu Bargo, announced this in a statement on Monday in Kaduna.
Bargo said two of the lecturers were promoted to the ranks of professors while one was promoted to the rank of an Associate Professor.
According to the statement, those promoted to the rank of professors include Dr. Ayodele Joseph- Professor of Mass Communication and Dr. Sani Bello – Professor Journalism and Media Studies, while Dr. Funke Ayokunnumi, was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Microbiology & Biotechnology.
The statement said the promotion of the lecturers came following the receipt of recommendation from external assessors as approved by the Governing Council of the university, with effect from October 1, 2021.
The statement reads, “This is to officially announce the promotion of the underlisted academic staff to the rank of Professor and Associate Professor respectively following the receipt of recommendation from External Assessors as approved by the Governing Council with effect from 1st October, 2021
They are: Dr. Ayodele Babatunde Joseph as Professor of Mass Communication, Dr. Sani Bello as Professor Journalism and Media Studies and Dr. Funke Obajuluwa Ayokunnumi as Associate professor of Pharmaceutical Microbiology & Biotechnology.
“Management wishes to congratulate all those promoted. It is hoped that in reciprocation, this will motivate those promoted to work harder and be more productive in the discharge of their duties”.
