The Speaker of the Kaduna state House of Assembly, Yusuf Zailani and a federal lawmaker representing Igabi Federal Constituency, Zayyad Ibrahim, have jointly distributed fertilizer and cash totaling N30 million to the 12 wards in the Igabi LGA. Speaking at the distribution of the the fertilizer and N10,000 cash to beneficiaries on Sunday in Kaduna, the speaker said it was a thing of joy to have the opportunity to put smiles on the faces of their Constituents.
He said, the 600 polling units that makes up the 12 wards in Igabi constituency.
The benefiting wards include Igabi, Afaka,Turunku, Gwaraji, Rigachukwu, Zangon Aya, Birnin yero, kwarau, kerawa, Panshanu, Rigasa and Sabon Birni wards.
Zailani said 10 people from each polling unit will be empowered with N10,000 and a bag of fertilizer.
He added that the fertilizer is to assist the farmers the farming season approaches while the cash will help to settle some family bills.
Commenting on the 2023 elections, the speaker told the beneficiaries that election winning now begins from the polling units and urged the polling units to be tightened up effectively for a resounding victory.
“I urge you to vote all the candidates of the APC in the coming election beginning with the Presidential and national Assembly and that of the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections, and let us deemphasize voting on the basis of religion in the 2023 general elections”, the speaker said.
On his part, the member of the House of Representatives, Ibrahim urged all the large crowd that turn out for the event to come out enmass and vote for the APC during the elections.
He urged them to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and vote APC candidates during the election.
The event was attended by some prominent members of the ruling APC, including the Director General of the Uba Sani Governorship Campaign Council, Prof. Muhammad Bello, the Kaduna Central Senatorial candidate Abdullahi Dattijo and Chairman of Igabi local Government Area, Jabir khamis, among others.
