Two people have been killed by gunmen in Kpak and Mallagum communities in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna state. The victims were said to have been killed on their farms on Wednesday afternoon. President of Kaura Youth Coalition, Bawa Emmanuel confirmed the incident in a statement shared on a WhatsApp platform. According to him, the victims were shot and macheted by their assailants.
Emmanuel lamented that “This gruesome attack is coming in wake of the killing of Mrs Victoria Chimtex who was murdered in her house in Manchok.”
According to him, “Attacks in Kaura have been persistent and multi dimensional with ‘efforts’ of the security operatives and government not seen or felt.”
He said communities in Kaura have remained vulnerable, with attackers getting in and out unhindered.
“Kaura Youth Coalition unequivocally condemns this heinous crime and again call on all hands to be on deck to avoid loss of precious lives”, Emmanuel said.
