Fatal auto crash kill six members of CAN women’s wing in Taraba

Six members of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN) in Taraba state have died  in a fatal auto crash which occurred on Saturday.
The victims were said to be returning from the conference of the women’s wing CAN  which held in Gembu, Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba state.
The Taraba state governor, Agbu Kefas, while reacting to the unfortunate incident in a statement by his spokesperson, Emmanuel Bello, described the incident  as “a black Sunday” in the state.
The governor expressed condolences to the families of the victims and  assured that his administration is committed to constructing safer roads, especially in areas that pose great threats to life.
“While praying for the repose of their souls, I want to pledge my administration’s continuous commitment to safer roads, especially within areas that pose great threats to life.
“I have already directed Local Government Chairmen to maintain existing roads with proper traffic controls, signages, and basic repairs.
“With this said development, we will work to minimise the sad occurrences of road mishaps occasioned by bad roads in the state.”the statement said.
The governor also condoled with the CAN leadership, WOWICAN, and the entire Christian community in the state and the country.
