Dare devil bandits on Monday, invaded Nyalun community in Bashar District of Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing Salisu Idris, the village head and two others.
Several people, including two wives of the village head, were said to have been abducted by the bandits.
A source in the community said the bandits who were armed with sophisticated weapons stormed the village on Monday at about 9:30pm, unleashing mayhem on the villagers.
Speaking in a telephone chat, the source said, “The bandits came on Monday around 9:30pm and were armed with sophisticated weapons.
“They killed the village head and two other people. They kidnapped some people including the two wives of the village head.
“Everybody had to run for his dear life as no one could stand the sophisticated weapons of the bandits. Residents of the community are living in perpetual fear of the unknown as there is no security presence”.
