A lecturer with the Department of Theatre Arts of the University of Jos, Dr. Dan Ella, has been abducted by gunmen at his residence at Haske quarters in Laminga community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state.
The incident was said to have occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when the hoodlums invaded the residence.
The incident occurred barely two weeks when a female professor of Medical Microbiology and her husband recently were abducted in the some but were later released after ransom was paid.
Mr Moses Bature, a neighbour to the lecturer confirmed that the gunmen who arrived the community around 2am on Wednesday were shooting sporadically and he headed straight to the apartment of the lecturer and took him away after breaking their door.
Gabriel Ubah, spokesman of the Plateau state command could not me reached on his mobile phone when contacted.
